“Tesla will resume allowing Bitcoin transactions”: Elon Musk in his latest tweet

After Elon Musk's tweet, cryptocurrency gained as much as 9.3% to $39,372 on Sunday afternoon in New York, the highest level since June 3.

In a report by Cointelegraph, speaking of Sygnia CEO Magda Wierzycka criticised Elon Musk saying that we have witnessed the price manipulation of Bitcoin by one “very powerful and influential individual.”

Elon Musk replied to the tweet by saying its inaccurate. Tesla will resume allowing Bitcoin transactions when clean energy is used by miners.

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, a tweet by Cointelegraph wrote that “Did you see? Elon Musk is catching flak again, what’s it for this time?”. Sygnia CEO Magda Wierzycka lambasted him saying “What we have seen with Bitcoin is price manipulation by one very powerful and influential individual.” 

To that Elon Musk in reply to a report in Cointelegraph tweeted, “This is inaccurate. Tesla only sold ~10% of holdings to confirm BTC could be liquidated easily without moving market.”

“When there’s confirmation of reasonable (~50%) clean energy usage by miners with the positive future trend, Tesla will resume allowing Bitcoin transactions.” He added. 

To which, Bitcoin jumped above $ 39,000. The cryptocurrency gained as much as 9.3% to $39,372 on Sunday afternoon in New York, the highest level since June 3 and just below the $40,000 round-number level seen as key by some chart watchers. It was down about 1% to $38,881 as of 7 a.m in Hong Kong on Monday.
