Tarzan actor, Joe Lara passes away in the US plane crash

Lara left acting after twenty years in 2002 to pursue a career in music. This was the time when Lara was at the peak of her career.

Seven people, including Tarzan actor Joe Lara, have died in the US plane crash. Lara was only 58 years old. Joe Lara’s wife, Gwen Shamblin has also died in this accident. He married Gwen in the year 2018 itself. According to a statement by Rutherford County Fire Rescue Captain John Ingle, “search and rescue operations are still continuing at Percy Priest Lake near Smyrna”. County officials said the seven were identified as William J. Lara, Gwen S. Lara, Brandon Hannah, David L. Martin, Jennifer J. Martin, Jessica Walters and Jonathan Walters. All seven of them were residents of Brentwood, Tennessee. The names of the dead have been made public after confirming with the family.

The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the Cessna C501 plane crashed into Percy Priest Lake near Smyrna after flying from Smyrna Rutherford County Airport at 11 pm on Saturday. The plane was en route from Smyrna Rutherford County Airport to Palm Beach International Airport. The Tennessee Highway Patrol told news agencies that eyewitnesses had seen the plane fall into the water. Moreover, reportedly both the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are present at the scene.

Lead roles played by Joe Lara:

Joe Lara played the role of Tarzan in the 1989 television film “Tarzan in Manhattan”. The actor was also seen in the TV series “Tarzan: The Epic Adventures”. This series lasted from 1996–1997. Lara’s performance in this was highly praised.
